about
what this is
I am Oscar Mörke. I am a product manager in Paris, and I build with coding agents every day, which mostly means I write instructions and then read back what a machine did with them.
These pieces come out of that. Every one of them starts from a number I measured on my own work rather than an opinion I had about the field: how many of my prompts survived, how many claims held when I re-derived them from the artifact, how much of my coordination turned out to be rent. Where a number is a proxy rather than a proof, the piece says so in the same breath, because most of what I write about is systems reporting confident results over things they never examined, and an essay does not get to launder its own.
The rough drafts are off the shelf for now. A few pieces are held back, and the reason is always a fact about the world rather than about the writing: a number still moving, or a paper under review that publishing would deanonymise.
If you want to check any of it, most pieces carry the commands and repositories they rest on under “Check it yourself”. That is the point of the whole exercise.

The research and writing published here is my own, done on my own time and equipment. It is not work product of my employer, is not funded by them, and does not represent their position. Where I write about systems I build at work, I say so and I keep the specifics out.
Interests: evaluation of AI agents, measurement validity, silent failure in automated checks, and verification of machine-generated claims.
